Steele grad needs your help in Ukraine

Five thousand miles away, Rachael Logsdon is working to make conditions better for the impoverished children of Ukraine.

A 2006 graduate of Steele High School, she teaches English in a small village school as a member of the Peace Corps.

Rachael Logsdon poses with her young Ukrainian students.

She is asking her hometown for help buying technology for her classroom. It will be used to prepare students for college and technical school.

Logsdon is looking for about $2,400 to buy an interactive whiteboard, projector, laptop, Web camera, and video camera for her students.

To learn more about Logsdon’s time in Ukraine and the poverty her students face, read the March 15 print edition of the Amherst News-Times.
